Miss White River Camille Cathey wins Miss Arkansas 2024!

Miss White River Camille Cathey won the title of Miss Arkansas 2024 Saturday night at the 86th Miss Arkansas Scholarship Pageant.  The pageant took place at the Robinson Center in Little Rock in front of a sold-out crowd.

 

Cathey won a $30,000 scholarship provided by the Ted and Shannon Boy Skokos Foundation and more than $75,000 in awards, wardrobe, transportation, and gifts.  She will represent Arkansas at the Miss America competition and will make appearances across the Natural State promoting her personal platform of “Proudly Volunteer,” the American Heart Association and speaking in support of the goals of the Miss Arkansas and Miss America system.


Cathey was crowned by the outgoing Miss Arkansas, Cori Keller, of Stuttgart. Keller was a Top 11 Finalist at Miss America.

 

Over $205,000 in scholarships were awarded throughout the week to various miss contestants.

 

Cathey is the 22-year-old daughter of Dr. Jake and Crystal Cathey of Wynne. She is a 2024 graduate of the University of Alabama with a degree in Communications Studies, and a first-year law student at the University of Arkansas School of Law. For her talent she performed a vocal to “If I Had My Way.” She was also Miss Arkansas’ Teen 2018.

She takes home a total of $46,150 in scholarships from all the awards she won this week.

*1st Runner Up (receiving a $15,000 scholarship sponsored by Dr. Rhys Branman, Cosmetic Surgery Center, Exhale Med Spa):  UCA Kennedy Holland

*2nd runner-up (receiving a $12,000 scholarship sponsored by the Jones & Son Diamond and Bridal Fine Jewelry and the Miss Arkansas Scholarship Foundation): South Arkansas Stevie St. John

*3rd runner up (receiving a $10,000 scholarship sponsored by Oaklawn and CDCM Foundation,

Susie and Charles Morgan): Western Arkansas Sydney Wendfeldt

 *4th runner-up: (receiving at $8,000 scholarship sponsored Houseworth Hotels): Dogwood Bella Bauer

The Semi-Finalists finishing 6th  - 15th will each receive a $2,000 scholarship sponsored by Kendra Scott, The Jim and Kay Hinkle Family, Glen Eskola in Memory of Heather Callicott and the Miss Arkansas Scholarship Foundation.
