Miss UCA Kennedy Holland won the Preliminary Talent Award and Miss White River Camille Cathey captured the Preliminary Evening Gown Award. Miss Ouachita Baptist University Bailey Gibson won the Preliminary On-Stage Interview Award and Miss Historic Batesville Erin Davis won the Preliminary Healthy and Fitness Award during Wednesday night’s preliminaries of the 86th Annual Miss Arkansas Competition at Robinson Center in Little Rock.
For winning Talent, Miss UCA Kennedy Holland will receive a $2,000 scholarship provided by the Miss Arkansas Executive Directors Association. She performed a vocal to “Bridge Over Troubled Water.”
Miss White River Camille Cathey will receive a $1000 scholarship for winning Evening Gown provided by The Royal We.
Miss Historic Batesville Erin Davis will receive a $500 scholarship for winning Health and Fitness provided by RVC Academy.
Miss Ouachita Baptist University Bailey Gibson will receive a $1000 scholarship for winning On-Stage Interview provided by Traci Lewellen in honor of Miss Arkansas 2019/2020 Dr. Darynne Dahlem.

Ashton Campbell Gill was the emcee for the Miss Arkansas’ Teen Pageant held during the afternoon. She was Miss Arkansas 2014 and 2nd Runner Up to Miss America, as well as Miss Arkansas’ Outstanding Teen 2011. Miss Arkansas 2019/ 2020 Dr. Darynne Dahlem emceed the On Stage Interview portion of the competition.
Miss Arkansas 2023 Cori Keller and Miss Arkansas Teen 2023 Allie Bell were on hand to present the awards. Keller was a Top 11 Semi-Finalist at the Miss America Pageant this past January.
Preliminary Awards given in this afternoon’s Teen Competition were:
· Preliminary Talent Award - $500 scholarship provided by The Miss Arkansas Hall of Fame Honorees – River City’s Teen Kaylea Chastain. She performed a tap dance to “How Will I Know” for her talent.
· Preliminary Evening Gown Award -$500 scholarship sponsored by The Royal We: Metro’s Teen Addie Rose Castleberry
· Preliminary Health & Fitness Award - $500 scholarship sponsored by the Miss Arkansas Scholarship Foundation – Lights of the Delta Sophie Puckett
Additional Miss Arkansas Scholarship Winners announced were:
· Alpha Talent Award, in the amount of $500, given by the Miss Arkansas Executive Directors Association – Arkansas State University Camryn Ross. She performed a jazz dance to "Hey Pachuco!" for her talent.
· Alpha Evening Gown Award, in the amount of $500, given by The Royal We – Dogwood Bella Bauer
· Alpha On Stage Interview Award, in the amount of $500, given by Heartland Automotive – Sweetheart of Arkansas Ava Weeks
· Alpha Private Health and Fitness Award, in the amount of the $500, given by Jordan Carter – Ozark Highlands Kassidy Bell
· Alpha Private Interview for the SIGMA Group, in the amount of $1500, given by Heartland Automotive – Johnson County Olivia McNeese
· Overall Arrival Award, in the amount of $1000, given by E. Leigh’s – White River Camille Cathey
· Marty Walker Memorial Award, in the amount of $1000 given by Fence Brokers – Apple Blossom Apple Dennie
· Jessie Ward Bennett Leadership Award, in the amount of $650, given by Bill Tarkington & Mike Spivey – Greater Jonesboro Brooke Caraway
· Service Above Self Award for SIGMA Group, in the amount of $500 given by Miss Arkansas Executive Directors Association – Steel Capital Erica Parker

· Teens in Action Finalists - $125 scholarship each sponsored by Miss Arkansas Teen 2018 Camille Cathey: (alphabetical by title) Lights of the Delta Teen Sophie Puckett, Ouachita River’s Teen Addison Bicker, River Valley’s Teen Willow Hecox, Saline County’s Teen Bella Crowe

This year’s Miss Arkansas Scholarship Competition celebrates the 86th Year of the Miss Arkansas Scholarship Competition. The show features 45 Miss Contestants and 36 Teen contestants from around the state who are competing for over $290,000 in scholarships.Competition continues with the final night of preliminary competition on Thursday. Miss Arkansas’ Teen preliminaries begin at 3:00 p.m. and Miss begins at 7:00 p.m.
The crowning for the new Miss Arkansas Teen will be Friday, June 14th. The crowning for Miss Arkansas 2024 is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Saturday, June 15th live on KARK / KNWA.
